About me
Veronica Gallardo is a public history practitioner with 19 years of experience at several historical sites. She is currently Director of the Surratt Historic Site and Museum. Her mission is to keep cultural institutions relevant by promoting comprehensive, inclusive history, strategically embedding DIEA principles throughout museum operations. She has focused on transforming SHSM into a catalyst for social change by rethinking interpretive methods, updating collection practices, engaging the community, and building a dedicated team.
