About me
Sara’s journey into the museum world is as non-traditional as it is visionary. After moving to New Jersey in 2016, the mother of two quickly realized something vital was missing: a world-class space dedicated to children’s curiosity and growth. Drawing on a distinguished 15-year career in public service with the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service and the EPA, Sara is now channeling her background as an Environmental Scientist, and passion for creative problem-solving and hands-on learning into a new mission: establishing New Jersey's first children's museum, MOMI (The Museum of Makers and Innovators). As New Jersey's pioneer children's museum, MOMI aims to foster curiosity, creative problem-solving, and sustainable innovation in the next generation. She remains deeply passionate about the intersection of art, history, science and creativity, seeking to spark those transformative “aha!” moments for every visitor. With a Bachelor’s from Western Washington University and a Master’s in Environmental Toxicology from Duke University, Sara is dedicated to building a creative place for families where imaginations run wild and possibilities are truly endless.
