About me
Katie Himics currently serves as Program Coordinator with the Somerset County Cultural & Heritage Commission. In this role, Katie oversees and organizes several annual county events, develops new programs highlighting the arts and local history in the community, presents ongoing professional development opportunities for cultural organizations in the county, and was heavily involved in the creation of the Somerset County Docent Training Program. She has worked at several New Jersey museums and historical sites, such as the Newark Museum of Art and Liberty Hall Museum, as an educator. Katie holds an MA in Museum Studies from Seton Hall University and a dual-degree B.S. in Art History and Studio Art from Nazareth College.
