Kelsey Scouten Bates, John C. Haas Director of The Rosenbach Museum and Library, holds a BA in American History from the University of Maryland, College Park, and an MS in Writing from Towson University. She has worked in special collections and development at the Baltimore Museum of Art, the Birmingham Public Library Department of Archives & Manuscripts, and the Chinati Foundation in Marfa, Texas.
