Brenda Simmons is the Founder and Executive Director of the Southampton African American Museum, which after a sixteen year Labor of Love officially opened Juneteenth 2021, and is the first African American site to be historically designated in the Village of Southampton but also the first black barbershop in the country to be transformed into a museum.
