MAAM 2026 Annual Conference

Maeve Jones joined the Poe Museum as Executive Director in 2022, with the directive to guide the museum through its centennial anniversary and strengthen the institution's presence in its community. Over her tenure, Jones has more than doubled the size of the museum's staff, increased attendance, and overseen a redesign of the museum's exhibit spaces. Jones holds a master’s degree in English Literature from the University of Virginia, where she also completed her undergraduate studies. Before joining the Poe Museum, she worked in historic interpretation and administration at Monticello, the Virginia Museum of History and Culture, and the White House Historical Association.
