MAAM 2026 Annual Conference

Adrienne is a lighting designer dedicated to shaping meaningful, inclusive experiences within museums and cultural institutions. With over a decade of professional experience, she creates environments that use light to tell stories and deepen visitor connection. A graduate of New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts, Adrienne brings a strong theatrical foundation to her work, shaping environments through lighting to guide attention and enhance storytelling. Her passion centers on designing equitable visitor experiences, using thoughtful lighting strategies to improve accessibility for visitors with visual impairments and to foster greater personal agency within cultural spaces. She enjoys working closely with collections teams to balance conservation requirements with accessibility goals, ensuring that both object preservation and visitor experience are thoughtfully supported. Adrienne works with design teams through all phases of a project, from concept development to the production of detailed design documentation and on-site documentation. Known for her collaborative approach and clear communication, she works closely with clients and project partners to realize innovative and impactful design solutions. In 2017 Adrienne was recognized with a Thea Award from the Themed Entertainment Association for her work with Luce Group on the The Smithsonian Institute's National Museum of African American History and Culture. Adrienne is an advisory member of the Illuminating Engineering Society's Museum and Art Gallery Lighting Committee.
